Fishing has been a lifelong passion, but for me it's about much more than catching fish. It's about understanding the water, reading changing conditions, and sharing the knowledge that only comes from spending countless days on Florida's Nature Coast.

As the owner of Fishbonz Charters, I specialize in Crystal River inshore fishing, targeting redfish, speckled trout, snook, black drum, sheepshead, and seasonal tarpon. Every trip is planned around current tides, water temperature, bait movement, and seasonal fish behavior to give my guests the best opportunity for success.

Whether you're introducing your family to fishing, looking to catch your first redfish, chasing trophy trout, or simply wanting to enjoy a relaxing day on the water, every charter is tailored to your experience level and fishing goals. My goal is for every guest to leave with great memories, more confidence as an angler, and a better understanding of why fish behave the way they do.

Beyond guiding, I'm proud to co-host Fishing Adventures Florida, co-host the Florida West Coast Fishing Report, and contribute to Onshore Offshore Magazine, where I share local fishing reports, seasonal patterns, and educational content with anglers across Florida.

Fishing the Right Boat for Crystal River

My Hewes flats boat was built specifically for the shallow waters of Crystal River and Florida's Nature Coast. Its shallow draft allows us to quietly access productive grass flats, oyster bars, creek mouths, and backcountry areas where larger boats simply can't go.

Comfortably accommodating up to three guests, the boat provides a stable, quiet, and efficient platform for targeting Crystal River's most sought-after inshore species while giving every angler plenty of room to fish comfortably.
